The Saltist Lever Drag Big Game Trolling and Casting Reels are designed for bullet-proof reliability while trolling. The Invisible Sinker

The Invisible Sinker Is Now Available at Key West Bait and Tackle!

The Invisible Sinker – This is not just a sinker, it’s a new way to fish!

When we say “Invisible Sinker”, we are talking about the finest addition to your tackle box since monofilament fishing line first appeared on the market. Our Invisible Sinkers are precision crafted units that virtually disappear under water. Being transparent, the Invisible Sinker is not detectable by fish and the only sinker guaranteed not to “scare off” your trophy catch. With proper rigging the only thing a fish will see is your bait; ensuring that you get more bites.

Here is an underwater photo that compares the Invisible SinkerTM to a standard lead sinker.

Promotes More Bites!

The Invisible Sinker promotes more bites, maximizing an angler’s time on the water. Although the Invisible Sinker costs more than traditional lead weights, its stealth features and higher catch rate combined with its ECO friendly composition make it a sound investment for every fisherman’s tackle box. With lead prices skyrocketing, this price difference is closing everyday.

The Invisible Sinker is available in a clear or a disappearing pink color, your choice depending on the water tone and ambient light. Available in 1 oz. and 3 oz. weights for different fishing applications.

Key West Bait and Tackle under New Ownership!

We are excited to announce that Key West Bait and Tackle is under new ownership. The ninth day of July of 2009 saw the transfer of Key West Bait and Tackle from Barry Andrews to Chris King and Joe Garr.

Chris, Joe and Barry

Chris, Joe and Barry

Barry had owned and operated the bait shop for that past five or so years. Joe and Chris purchased the business from Barry on July 9, 2009.

Chris and Joe are both long term residents of the Florida Keys. Chris has been living in Key West for the past 15 years and Joe moved to Big Pine Key in 1999 and relocated to Key West slightly over a year ago.

Joe and Chris invite you to come in and enjoy a $2 bottle beer at the Live Bait Lounge. The bar has recently been replaced. J T did an excellent job of custom crafting the new bar.

Chris and Joe have increased the variety of frozen bait in stock and will do what they can to maintain a full selection of live bait. Currently you can find pinfish, crab and shrimp in the live bait wells.

The store hours are from 7am to 7pm 7 days a week.

Check back for updates and new products that will be arriving at the store.
